Darrin Shares Winner Podium with Garret in Ossipee

2•24•07 Two weeks off from the RMR Central SemiPro grind was what Darrin Mees needed to recharge the batteries and nurse some wounds. Darrin picked up where Doug left off in Schaghticoke when he swept the SemiPro Stock and Open finals at the Mt. Madness park in Ossipee, NH. Darrin scored three straight qualifier wins in Stock 440 to set the stage for his third Stock win of the season.

Doug Decoigne had to come down from his mountain high and deal with a DNF in the Stock final when he was landed on at the start. The collision resulted in one of Doug's skis getting torn right off! A big let down after going 1, 1, & 2 in qualifying. Doug still holds onto the point lead by a 7 point margin over second place Darrin in Stock points. A fourth place finish in the Open final put him only 6 points out of first place.

Garret Mees has been quietly racking up points and wins in the Upper and Lower Junior wars. Garret nailed down his third win of the season when he took the top spot in the Lower Jr. final and he scroed a runner-up finish in the Upper Jr. final. garret's consistency has earned him the points lead in both divisions with 3 point races to go. Nice job Garret!

Garret's consistency has been rewarded with the points lead in both Junior Liquid classes.

Sara Harrison continues her lock on the Jr. Girls 600 Fan runner-up spot. A win would be great, but her smart driving is paying off with solid performances. Jordy has been qualifying well in the 300 class going 2, 2 on Saturday and 3, 3 on Sunday. With so many sleds in the finals, Jordy had to fight through traffic to earn hard-fought 3rd and 4th place finishes.

Team HMS will be heading up north to the Skowhegan Fairgrounds in Maine this weekend.

C.W. Solid in Pro Point Chase

With Darrin and Doug hogging all the headlines lately, C. W. and Simon's efforts have taken an unfair back seat. C.W. Sirjane, pictured above, has had good reason to click his heels lately.

Since Essex Junction, C. W. has really put some solid runs together and has muscled his way into second place in both Pro class points battles. C.W. scored two runner-up finishes last weekend in Ossipee and is getting stronger every week. During the break before the finals on Sunday, C.W. put on a heel-clicking show for the fans for some great photo opportunities.

Simon Belzile has been returning to form and had strong qualifying runs this weekend. In the Stock final, Simon grabbed the holeshot and lead the race for 5 circuits before a late race get-off yielded a 4th place finish. Simon was going strong in the Open final before a hard crash knocked him out of the race.
