12107 What else can you you say about Wallingford Power other than WOW! Darrin Mees swept his 3 SemiPro Open qualifiers and carried the momentum into the final to complete his sweep! And just a few snowflaps away was the only other Wallingford motor and that was tucked inside Doug Decoigne's WSI/XPS Rev Mod. Darrin and Doug took no prisoners in their dominating performance. In the SemiPro Stock final Darrin completed his 1, 1 Pit-X sweep when he took over the lead in the second lap and never looked back. With perfect timing in the back stretch "minefield," Darrin again checked out on the field. Except for one racer. Yep! Doug was right there in a solid second place position before a get-off with one lap to go cost him one spot where he still finished third.
With the points for the Central Division being posted shortly on RMR's web site, we fully expect to see Darrin and Doug's names at the top of the standings. Traction by Woody's and Camoplast, handling by C&A Pro skis and the support from our other fine sponsors really make our driver's job easier. Thank you. Garret Mees scored 2 runner-up finishes in the Lower Junior 500 classes and Sara and Jordan each scored runner-up finishes in Jr. Girls 600 and 300 Freestyle classes respectively. This weekend we are heading up to the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction, Vermont for the third RMR Central points race. All with the exception of Simon and Scanner who are, at this moment, out in Aspen, Colorado to compete in the ESPN Winter X-games. Doug slips underneath Derek Graham to retake the lead for Stock 600 win. |
