HMS Announces 2008 Line Up

11•22•07 Wow! It’s hard to believe that we’re just a week away from the next Rock Maple Racing snocross season! The summer has been busy and we have had little time to reflect on the successes we had in the last season. They’ll always be great memories we shared as a team, but we can’t rest on our laurels and have been busy during the off season preparing for the 2007-2008 snocross season.

Topic One: Our Team

The Harrison girls, Sara and Jordan, have always been the nucleus of the Harrison Motorsports team, with both girls being past RMR champions. The girls aren’t “just the team owners’ daughters,” the guys are very involved with their on track performances and work with them for a total team effort.
Sara had a strong season ending finish at Windham in April and finished second in the Jr. Girls 600 Stock points chase. “Sara is very focused on winning the title this year,” “she’s been playing softball and volleyball and focusing on her conditioning for the upcoming season.”
This year lil’ sister
Jordan will be putting the pressure on her as both girls will be campaigning in the Jr. Girls 10-13 Stock 600 Fan class. Jordan won two Jr. Freestyle 300 championship titles in the classes’ inaugural season in 2005 and scored five podium finishes in the Girls Stock 600 Fan class last season. She’s ready!

Harrison Motorsports will again field two WSI/Ski-doo XPS Pro riders for the upcoming season. Despite the rumor mill saying he’s retiring, he will be back! Of course we’re talking about C.W. Sirjane who made his return to RMR last season a great one with top three finishes in both Pro Stock and Open final standings. Piloting the new, revolutionary Rev XP #532, C. W. has been training hard all summer with one goal on his mind... a RMR Pro title!
Fresh off his dual, RMR Semi Pro Championship winning season,
Darrin Mees advances up to the Pro ranks and will definitely be a factor in the championship chase. Darrin knocked heads with the RMR Pros at the last race of the season in Windham in April and was in contention the whole weekend. Darrin has been racing motocross all summer and is in prime condition for the season opener at Whaleback Mountain. All the RMR Pro riders are excellent competitors, but we fully expect C.W. and Darrin to take their share of podium finishes this season.

After filling in for the injured Doug Decoigne for the last two races of the season, Shaun St. Onge of Chittenango, NY will be wearing the WSI colors for the whole season on the #425 Ski-doo XP. Shaun scored his first RMR Semi Pro win when he led his teammates to a HMS podium sweep in the Semi Pro Open final at Windham in April. Shaun has a strong drive to win and will win his share this season.
Joining Shaun in the Semi Pro battles will be
Nathan Loschiavo (pictured right) of Bradford, VT. Nate sat out the 2006-2007 season due to an injury in 2006, but has been training hard all summer and is ready to rip on the new HMS Rev XPs. Nate scored two championships in the Upper Junior ranks in 2002-2003 and posted 8 Semi Pro podium finishes in the 2005-2006 season. He’s young, healed and ready to rock with Shaun this season for HMS.

Garret Mees isn’t just Darrin’s “little brother,” he is also a dual champion from the 2006-2007 RMR snocross season. Garret rides in noone’s shadow and will be a top contender in the Sport ranks this season. Hot off his two Jr. titles and 7 class wins, Garret will have a target on his back this season, but that isn’t anything new to this young dynamo. Garret has also been ripping it up on the motocross circuits this summer and is in top shape to stake his claim on the RMR Sport class titles.

Doug Decoigne suffered a season ending leg injury in Skowhegan last year and will sit out this season to assure a full recovery. If it weren’t for his parents and doctors, Doug would be taping it up and jumping on his #99 Ski-doo XP Rev. Doug will be with the team this year and we’ll have his #99 stead waiting for him next season.
Keith, Scanner and Sebastien will also be returning as the top HMS wrenches and will be assisted by Doug Mees, Oscar St. Onge and Brian Whalley. A great crew to let our riders concentrate on racing, they're the best.

Topic Two: Sponsors

It takes more than a few talented riders to make up a championship winning team. Harrison Motorsports has scored 7 championship titles in the past 3 seasons and we couldn’t have achieved this level of success without the enormous contributions of our valued sponsors and a dedicated crew of mechanics. HMS is proud to announce the addition of three new sponsors for the upcoming season. HMS welcomes PowerMadd, Crank Shop of Vermont and That’s Great News to the Harrison Motorsports family. With their support and that of our returning sponsors, HMS will surely realize another successful snocross season.

PowerMadd is an industry leader in powersports accessories by creating products that are of the highest quality, precision engineered and the most innovative of their kind while still being competitively priced. A company that needs little introduction. The Crank Shop of Essex Junction, VT will be powering the HMS Open sleds this season. World renowned power in the snowmobile performance and racing arenas, the Crank Shop is a welcomed addition to HMS. Bob Roscoe’s “That’s Great News” , located in Cheshire, CT specializes in designing and manufacturing customized laminated plaques to people and companies that have been featured in newspaper and magazine articles. Bob is a great guy with a great product and we are thrilled to represent his company this season.

Returning for the 2007-2008 season is, of course, WSI Landscaping Stone and Ski-doo XPS as our platinum sponsors. Our associate sponsors each contribute immensely to our team’s success and without their support, winning would be that much more difficult. We’re proud to represent Progressive Motorsports, Woody’s Traction Products, New England Racing Fuel, C&A Pro Skis, Mars Insurance Agency, Wing Trucks and Trailers, Camoplast, Scott Goggles, Scorpion helmets, HMK, VForce3, Sledwraps.com and Extreme Exposures.
