4•1•07 The scorecard to the right says it all! Harrison Motorsports achieved its pre-season goal, "field a competitive team, win and lose with class, and represent our sponsors and their products like Champions regardless of the year-end points totals." We experienced many highs:

  • • Simon Wins the X-games qualifier
  • • Harrison Motorsports qualifies 4 Drivers for the Woody's Challenge in Malone
  • • Doug Decoigne Wins the Semi Pro Shootout Title in Schaghticoke
  • • Shaun St.Onge Winning his first-ever Semi Pro final on a WSI/XPS Ski-doo

We had our low points as well. Especially losing two of our teammates to injuries. Thankfully, the low points were few. When looked at through different colored lenses, even some of our low points really were highlights. Here's the shakedown of the season-ending race held at the Windham Mtn. Ski Area in New York's Catskill Mountains.

The focus in the Pro ranks was on the Pro Stock 440 chase. Three points separated the top 3 drivers and every position gained was tightly guarded. Despite two solid qualifying rounds, C.W. Sirjane was holding onto 2nd in his third qualifier when he got too high on the last turn berm. The bobble cost him a few positions and his 4th place finish in the final wasn't enough to catch Jason Boron's title winning 3rd place finish.
Every round at every race contributes to the season point total and C.W. put out every round. How can we be disappointed with a Runner-up and Third place finish in the highly competitive Pro ranks? A special thank you goes out to
Progressive Motorsports for their support of C.W.'s return to Rock Maple Racing!

The big picture at the top of the page says it all! Darrin Mees fought through mid-season injuries to gut out the SemiPro Stock and Open Championship titles! Darrin, from Setauket, NY, posted seven wins on the season, was the number 1 qualifier for the SemiPro Shootout and qualified for the Woody's Challenge in Malone. Darrin's titles automatically advance him into the Pro ranks for next season. Darrin's efforts on the track were second to only his winning smile in the pits and the respect he earned from his fellow racers.

In just his third race wearing the WSI/HMS colors, Shaun St.Onge scored his first-ever SemiPro win when he led his teammates Darrin Mees and Kevin Morin to the SemiPro Open win. What a show of power! Shaun, Darrin and Kevin piloted their Mod sleds to the 1, 2, 3 finish in the Open final!

Garret Mees didn't get the limelight that his Pro and SemiPro teammates received this year, but he quietly managed to equal his brother Darrin's numbers scoring 2 Championship titles and 7 class wins. Garret locked up the Jr. 14-15 and 16-17 Stock 500 titles and guaranteed his advancement in next season's snocross ranks.

Sara did not win a race this year, but she finished second at every race behind a very talented Janell Smith. In Windham, Sara had us all jumping with excitement as she grabbed the holeshot in her final and led for 1 and a half laps! Sara's smart driving skills has earned her a great runner-up finish in the Girls 600 Fan Division. Nice job Sara!

Sara leads Janell Smith through the right hand sweeper in the first lap of their Sunday final.

Jordan Harrison scored one win in Malone in the 300 Freestyle class. Her consistency earned her a runner-up finish in the Saturday Freestyle title run and a fourth in Sunday's chase. This class is growing by leaps and bounds and Jordan really held her own against the boys. A consistent front-runner!

Jordan scored numerous third place finishes in the Girls 600 Fan finals, chasing down Janell and Sara. She often had to jump off her 300 Freestyle and on to her Fan without rest! Jordan logged alot of laps this season! Nice Job Jordy!

We'll add a little Awards banquet wrap-up in a couple weeks. Thank you again to our sponsors, friends and family for your continued support.
